chasblue Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 I have a new Heritage H-137 in TV yellow which has developed some rather profound finish problems. I know that nitrocellulose lacquer is supposed to check over time, but this guitar has strong, lengthy cracks in the finish - and it developed them very quickly. The guitar has NOT been abused, nor hung in the sunlight, etc. And the cracks are not the only problem with the finish, which has faded, but not uniformly. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance for your responses.
tulk1 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 If it's new, tell your dealer. 1 yr warranty on that sucker. Sometimes the guitars get shipped before the nitro completely cures. Could be your situation. Heritage will fix it, but start with your dealer.
pegleg32 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 That is very unusual. Something had to go badly wrong or maybe it was subjected to some extreme temperature changes. Heritage is very good about handling these kind of problems.
