Got to play the 535 with the new Phat Cats in it Saturday night. I just love the tone. It was just at the point of feedback. Never dreamed I would be playing a John Cougar song but Hoyt could play the chords and sing so.... it's not like we have to play it the original way.

Here is clip of a lead I did with the 535. Be sure not to listen to it if you have just finished eating.

Cool, Ron. Nice playing and tone - sounds like the neck pickup. Rich and warm. I didn't catch which tune it was until the lyric came back in. You haven't been influenced by the Allman Bros, have you?

Hey there, nice playin' Ron! You've got that Southern Rock vibe going strong.

Phat Cats sound great with a touch of overdrive in the mix.

That guy sang the wrong words. That's an Almond Brothers' tune. Always knew you guys were nuts :icon_pirat:

Very nice playin' Bird!

Yep, it was the neck pup.

You never know what will happen at Joe's. If I can figure out the key a song is in that's about as much prep time as you will get.

A 535 with Phat Cats? I'm on the same page, Ron :) Glad to see you got it back from the shop quickly and it's obviously doing its job - nice playing :)

As others have said here- great tone, sweet licks! : )

Are you playing through the Vox or another amp?

Wow, I love that tone! And being completely original in my thinking I'll jump in on the ABB vibe thing too.

This may just put me over the edge in my thoughts about Phat Cats in a 150.
