Ivory dots below Eagle

Hi:

I've been shopping for a nice Golden or Super Eagle and I noticed something interesting. On some of these, there are several ivory dots, often in a sort of pyramid shape, below the inlaid eagle on the rear of the headstock. Now here's the odd part--the number of these dots varies. I have found one Golden Eagle with one dot. I have found another with four and I recently found one with six! I called Heritage and they had no idea these dots existed and claim to have no awareness of how or why they are there.

Can anyone shead some light on this?

Thanks

Hmmm...my Golden Eagle has a pearl-inlayed newspaper below the bird! :icon_scratch:

Hah! This went right over my head the first time I read it... The second time I had to try and explain to my wife why I was laughing hysterically all of a sudden

Bird droppings?

I actually have a photo of an eagle taking a dump. I didn't want to be the first to say so because my "warn meter" is pegging. I have seen this stuff all over the ground under nest and other of their favorite trees. What a mess. I can see Ren making the young employees cut the stuff after it has dried. A kind of paying your dues ritual.... The second pic shows that your dots are actually turtle and terrapin shell inlays. I found these under one of their nest and found 4 others before we left.
