JohnCovach Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I've replaced pickups and bridges on my Heritages, but have never tried replacing the stock Schaller stop tailpiece with a Gibson-style one (My 155 came that way from Jay, and I use the Schaller fine tune tailpiece on my 576). My question: is this a straight replacement, with no new drilling? My concern is the distance between the two poles.
rooster Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 FWIW, I used the lightweight Aluminum tailpiece with the TonePros locking studs. They come in handy during restringing/fretboard cleaning. rooster.
slider313 Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 The stop is direct replacement. The tune-o-matic needs to be a Nashville.
soybean Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Good question. What about replacing the roller bridges?
