MartyGrass Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I believe one was on eBay for about $10K! Eventually it came down to a more reasonable price. It looks like a Strat neck on a LP body, if I recall. The one on eBay was very sharp looking.
MartyGrass Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Now I see what you're talking about. It's true that it's a very rare guitar. And is often the case, it's rare because the factory can't sell enough to make a profit. I happen to like it though.
DetroitBlues Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Oh, we're talking about guitars not a new Guiness Book of World records for Adult Film stars....
brentrocks Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 i have seen them on ebay...thats about it....never really had the desire to buy one though
602a Posted December 3, 2011 Author Posted December 3, 2011 Yes, I plan to buy it! ME too that's why I ask. I will let you have it though. I'd rather a old 150. Got some plans if I find one. Fat Cats!
big bob Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I would stay away from this one unless you are able to check her out in person.. neck looks .... bad http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260907723894+#ht_500wt_1413

Was gonna let Slammer have it anyway. Hope he checks it first. No return's bother me.
totonka Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 This is about 20 minutes from me if anyone is serious, I'll look it over.
mark555 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I know Heritage make fantastic guitars, but I somehow struggle with Heritage shapes and fender style headstocks. I am pretty sure it will be a great guitar though.
totonka Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I saw this in person and I would have to agree with Big Bob. It appears it had a headstock break, but not where the entire headstock fell off, but where the pointy part of where the low E tuner is broke off (you can see it barely in the last photo), and also that side of the fretboard is separating from the neck. The guy in the store said $1050 cash out the door, but when I pointed the above out to him, I got the "what are you talking about" and "that doesn't look like a break to me" and "I'll have my tech look at it because he didn't say anything about it". He said he got the guitar in trade for a drum set. I will have to say, that if indeed there was a break, the repair on the headstock was pretty well done. There would need to be extra work done on the fretboard. Also, one last note, where the fretboard meets the body, there is some separation there as well. It has a couple of minor dings in the back of the body and wear at the tip of the headstock. It is a beautiful guitar, as are all Heritages, if you could also love the flaws. Seems solid enough, but also overpriced. Just know what you're getting into with this one.
