robmc Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Have a '99 H140 I got used. I don;t believe the pickups are standard . Can anyone ID these? Rob
barrymclark Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 They just might be standard. They could very well be Schallers but with the two-aside screws removed and just the single ones put in. I did that. You will likely have to lift a pickup to know.
SouthpawGuy Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 They could be factory fitted Duncans, Schallers were standard equipment then, but it may have been ordered with '59s or Seth Lovers.
DetroitBlues Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 those are aluminum covers, most likely they are not schallers. You'll have to loosen the strings, and remove the screws holding the pickup mounts on the guitar, then you can pull the pickups up and out. Turn them over and hopefully that will help.
robmc Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 Thanks all Will pull the covers this weekend and explore. Needed new strings anyway Rob hT
High Flying Bird Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I suspect they are not Schallers. It looks like the previous owner changed the bridge and I'll bet the pickups too.
robmc Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 Hello all Well, I pulled the covers and this is what I found. I would appreciate any info you guys have Thanks Rob
DetroitBlues Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Still not sure, but I can tell you those leads are not found on cheap pickups.
SouthpawGuy Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Looks like a Seymour Duncan pickup, can't tell which model though, that looks like a stylised "Seymour" signature
SouthpawGuy Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Antiquities maybe ? http://www.themusicz...-Pickup-Nickel/
tulk1 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Send the pic to SD and ask. Bet they'd know from the S/N or whatever that is.
robmc Posted December 11, 2011 Author Posted December 11, 2011 I'll bet that antiquities is the right answer. I'll check in with SD and post back Rob
robmc Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 From SD Oh cool. Yep, that’s our Antiquity Humbucker (we only make one model) made in June 2001. I hope you love the tone.
