Hello all, I just found your website as I was trying to figure out my H140's serial number. I now see that it was made in 1997. This is my pride an joy electric so it doesn't get taken out as often as my beater axe ;) I haven't seen any others like mine so I think it is a bit unique. PUPs were changed from the Shallers to a JB in the bridge and a Jazz in the neck. I changed the tuners to Grovers. Of course I saved all the oringinal equipment incase I should like to turn it back to stock :)

Hello smokedtires, that is a gorgeous 140! I didn't realize Grover made that style of machine-looks like a vintage Kluson. Nice axe man and welcome to HOC!

Hi everyone. Thanks for the kind words! Very excited about finding this site, I'm sure to learn alot! I'm not sure what VIP means, but I did keep the PUPs wired so I can split them, really nice when wanting a clean sound.

VIP is sort of like the six position chicken head knob you find on the Gibson Lucille (BB King's guitar). Instead of a rotating switch, you have mini toggles...
