i wuz gonna send brian a PM when it occurred to me i could have more fun embarrassing him publicly!

brian delivered my 'verb unit to me at psp4; been messin' with it ever since.

just wanna say that fender jazzmaster and jag, both with flatwounds, running thru the reverb and a tweed clone, deliver up the drippy surf sound and "clink" in spades.

well done, sir!

I'm one of the lucky few who actually has an opportunity to use almost every amp he builds before anyone has an opportunity to play it. I must say, he does a great job. I rather like his reverb unit and we are talking about making a reverb and tremolo head that is footswitchable....

I'm right on base with you Sir ElJay! When practicing, I don't stand too hard on the volume; reverb is required to bring a sparkle to the sound. The KBP810 GT-15 reverb unit I own lays it down in spades! Makes me smile whenever I practice :icon_thumright:

Why thank you for the kind words all!

...and to think, I nearly missed this thread altogether and could have avoided all the embarasement

I had an old Fender Reverb unit for a while... one of the few things that I wish that I hadn't sold.

But a handwired KBP810 reverb... that is some very cool tone equipment there. Maybe one day I'll own one..
