MartyGrass Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 I saw an interview with Kaki King, a mighty guitarist. She was asked how long she had been playing. She quickly calculated, said 25 years, paused, and then she added she should be much better by now.
JeffB Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 I'd have to say---INSPIRATION! I know practice makes semi-perfect or at least better---but when I hear something in the middle of the day and can't wait to get home to try it and finally find that TIME (+1) and work and work and work until I finally learn the song--it's just an awesome thing. YESSSS!!! INSPIRATION!!!. Im so flat with it right now its a chore to pick up and play. I love it when a big wave of inspiration hits and sustains for a while. Thinking about it though, the guitar is a distant 2nd to the inspiration....might not even rank 2nd....the guitar is just an accessory for the inspiration.
