Dot on switch?

I searched the forum and couldn't find the answer, although it must be here somewhere. What does the dot on the pick-up switch indicate?

I thought the dot was something left over from wiping my nose... :P

FrankS, HRW stands for Heritage Rendal Wall. Ren is a long time Heritage employee who designed the pickups. More info about him can be found on the Heritage Guitar website.
