StevenTari Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 When Gibson packed up and left and Heritage went into business, What was the first Heritage Guitar sold to the public? What color and about what was the date? A Christmas Triva Question.

What color and about what was the date? A Christmas Triva Question. It definitely was an H-140 according to the company's history. http://www.heritageg...om/history.html Was it this one?
StevenTari Posted December 25, 2011 Author Posted December 25, 2011 O.K. But what color was the first one sold in public and the date it was sold? Not one bought by a Heritage person either. But the first one sold in a public sale.

But the first one sold in a public sale. I would be surprised if there is a record of that. The 'zoo was never known for keeping the best historical documentation.

If one were to write the definitive chronicle of The Heritage Guitar Company, he'd probably have to make most of it up. If Ren hasn't already....
StevenTari Posted December 26, 2011 Author Posted December 26, 2011 Thats to bad. I would love to come across it in a sale. It would be cool to have their first guitar. You know like the first dollar when a store opens. I just wondered.

DetroitBlues Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 The two oldest Heritages I've seen on here is a A-serial number 140 and KBP810's B Serial Number 170. My B serial number was made in November of 85, so there has to be a lot older ones than mine.

barrymclark Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 My father-in-law's A serial was, of course before any guitars were made publicly available. His B serial was certainly an early one and was and was dropped of by Marvin. I believe it was completed sometime in August of '85.
StevenTari Posted January 2, 2012 Author Posted January 2, 2012 OK close enough. Does he have any pictures of his guitars to post?
