JackBaruth Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 My guitar teacher, who has been a Heritage supporter for 15 years or thereabouts, has a regular Christmas Eve gig at a local restaurant. This year he wanted one of his students, a very jazz-focused kid about 15 or 16 years old, to join him. The kid was going to bring some kind of wacky Epiphone that looked like a 335 which had been melted a bit in an oven. Not acceptable, so I opened the loaner vault. It was a real pleasure to hear the two Eagles played together!
schundog Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Great gesture, Jack! Way to make that kid's day; look at the smile on his face! Merry Christmas.
Fernando Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Was it your teacher who turned you on to Heritage guitars? Nice picture, nice gesture, btw.
hinesarchtop Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Very cool. I remember being a kid and not being able to hold or play the nicer guitars at the local music stores. The look on his face really does say it all.
Kuz Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Very nice gesture and a cool picture. Personally, I would have been sweating it all night long about a ding, (I rather do the dinging myself so the other person doesn't feel bad), but it didn't look like a stage diving gig. Again, very nice gesture..... Oh and of course he going to want a Heritage Archtop now!
pegleg32 Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Oh my Jack, you have probably doomed that poor boy to a lifetime of wanting more and more Heritages. Good job!!!!! That was a very nice thing to do though and I am sure he will always remember it.
RhoadsScholar Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Good Goin Jack. Nice to see Heritage in the mix on Christmas Eve
DetroitBlues Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Good Call Jack! If you going to do something, better do it right!
