Guest HRB853370 Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 She has been farting around with the guitar for a little over a year. She has been taking piano lessons since she was very young. I don't mess with her much yet because she has slowly gotten more interested since this summer. She understands music. I can show her the fretboard and I show her what she needs to learn before she comes back to me. She does that. Bar chords are hard for her little hands. This time next year she will kick my ass up around my shoulders with that "tiny guitar." She took it to my son, Brian's, house for a short vacation. Tomorrow night I will take her to Joe's to play through that Blues Jr. Since she's already got music theory under her belt, so she will progress very quickly. I hope she keeps up the interest! Good job Daddy!! Congrats on your award. Since she's already got music theory under her belt, so she will progress very quickly. I hope she keeps up the interest! Good job Daddy!! DetroitBlues Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Look above my avatar. 1st Father Medal. Thanks Moderators. What is that? Anyway, she looks truely happy. Congrats! I wish my daughter really wanted to play her squire, but at 12 years old, she's more into nailpolish and skinny jeans..... Hope your daughter and that guitar become lifelong friends!
schundog Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 We have a new Heritage family member, my daughter, Lydia. Some how I was able to keep my mouth shut in front of her for over 3 months. She last saw the guitar at Thanksgiving when Joe was back in town. She thought he took it back to Florida with him. Late Christmas night she was telling my wife, Linda, that she wished she had got a laptop. Linda told her I could sell the guitar and get her a laptop but Lydia quickly declined the offer. Looks like a lotta' blues coming from the Bird's nest here soon. (Am I the first here to buy their kid a Heritage? The moderator should issue a medal for this type of thing.) DB, your answer is in the last sentence of his first post.
DetroitBlues Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 DB, your answer is in the last sentence of his first post. I saw that, but didn't think they actually created a title for it...
