As if my GAS for an H150 wasn't bad enough, now I'm looking at videos on Utube. :BangHead:

Anyway, this vid is in french I think, and nowhere does it say what the finish on the guitar is.

This freaking thing is gorgeous.

Almond Sunburst.... But you have to remember that every finish is mixed and applied by hand, and that every piece of wood "takes" any given finish differently. Polls here, in the past, have indicated that Almond Sunburst (ALSB) is one of, if not the, most popular of finishes.

Thanks, I was't sure if could be almond, or wine.

I'm not worried about popular so much as I am about it looking the way I want it too in my head.

Could be wine, but wine is generally a darker red around the outside of the burst. The burst of the guitar in the video, around the lower bouts, is a little too brown-ish, not deep red enough for a Wineburst, which is also a really fabulous color. I have an Almond Sunburst Super Eagle. One of the things The Boys and The Girl at Parsons Street do best is shoot a finish. Colors are wonderful!

Different pups look better on some guitars. Zebras are cool, but I prefer all black, as long as the guitar itself isn't a dark finish....

If I order a new one, Zebra pups on a VSB will be the it.

Almond burst, should be ALSB on the label if memory serves correctly. There is / was also a Dark Almond burst which is DALSB, although that might have been for a particular dealer only.

I agree that the almonds are a quite popular finish, but I would have guessed that VSB was the most popular. Mabye its second highest.
