Guest HRB853370 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Naw, its not a new Heritage guitar day, but it feels like it is. It's "new hardware day"! I picked up my original (and very first Heritage) H-150 ACSB today from the guitar tech with a brand new tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail piece, which Spectrum13 donated to me last year (thank you so much Dan). A fresh setup and new strings to complete the equation, and I dunno if this is just in my head, but the thing seems to sustain better than ever now that the Schaller hardware is gone. I'll post some nice photos tomorrow of her all sprawled out on my white bedspread. It is amazing what the Nashville bridge and stop tailpiece does for the looks of a 150.
DetroitBlues Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Where's the pics???? Cannot have new hardware day without our dose of guitar porn!

Comancheplayer Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Hey if you don't mind post some before and after pics, that would be cool.
Guest HRB853370 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Rick, I don't have any "before" closeups, sorry. But here is the "new" look and I am loving it!! DB, take notice!
Spectrum13 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Much nicer looking Will. How about the set up?
koula901 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 tune-o-matic bridge and stop tail piece are known to increase sustain. Mazel tov!
DetroitBlues Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 How low do you have the tailpiece? Are the string touching the edge of the bridge? Mine would, but I wrap the strings over instead of under the tailpiece. Have you considered that by chance? Some argue it helps with playability....
Guest HRB853370 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Much nicer looking Will. How about the set up? Great set-up- fairly low, but not to the point of buzzing, with 10-46

I would wrap the strings over the tailpiece if it didnt have a bridge!

Comancheplayer Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Deal. $2000 and its yours! I'll even do free shipping. Hey wait a minute, you forgot to put a decimal in between a couple of those zero's.
Guest HRB853370 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Hey wait a minute, you forgot to put a decimal in between a couple of those zero's. There is an unwritten rule on the forum Rick-you are not allowed to sell your "first" Heritage. Of course, Brent has breached that rule.....
H Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Gotta love cherry burst! Cherry burst? That there is a definitive example of clown burst!
Guest HRB853370 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Cherry burst? That there is a definitive example of clown burst! No H, it is NOT clown burst. I am sorry you don't find it attractive. But I do! I have a 535 25th anniversary in that finish also! By the way, that was the definitive and most sought after finish in the 1959 model year Les Paul. Heritage ACSB H 535.bmp
