steveomatic Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 I need some opinions. I realize it is subjective but I have an opportunity to purchase 1994 burst H-555 in unplayed mint condition with Bigsby and OHSC. Is this a good deal? Does the age matter in terms of quality vs today's version. All opinions are welcome. Thanks, Steve

Guest HRB853370 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Unplayed mint I would say its fair. I would try to negotiate downwards a bit if possible. Nothing is automatic Steveomatic!
DetroitBlues Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Many will argue to try to get the guitar at a lower price... But if you feel its priced right, go for it.
heritagefan7 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Steve--Welcome from a fellow SC resident. Hope you find what you are looking for--SC can seem far removed from the world of any/all things Heritage--The HOC is a true life link for those of us out here in the outer rim.
Guest HRB853370 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Hey, I didn't notice Steve was in SC! I am EX SC, but I still feel like SC and hope you still accept me as a Palmetto!! Can't wait to move back!
Kuz Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 What pickups? Is it all original? Was the Bigsby installed at the factory new, or as an aftermarket? Considerally all is original in mint shape, and that factory installed Bigsby 555s are much less common, I would say it is in the ballpark. I would offer $200 less and then settle for $100 less.
Vincelewis Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Hey Steve, Just had a student grab a 1993 H 535....I am fine with older guitars as the wood has aged and there is less to deal with in terms of reaction to seasonal change etc....and I have to say the whether a new or an older Heritage, they are all consistant quality and construction...

Old or new... Heritage of Kalamazoo guitars are finely crafted instruments by the masters...
