schundog Posted January 29, 2012 Author Posted January 29, 2012 I had to show this to Linda. We had a good laugh about it then she looked at me funny. I guess she thinks I have my eye on one. Well, Do ya?! If not, what's wrong with you, brother?! haha
Guest HRB853370 Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Well, Do ya?! If not, what's wrong with you, brother?! haha Up kinda late arent you bro?
JeffB Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 thats probably my ideal Heritage colour. Nice score.
schundog Posted January 29, 2012 Author Posted January 29, 2012 Up kinda late arent you bro? Nah; it's the weekend, plus you are an hour later than me!
High Flying Bird Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Well, Do ya?! If not, what's wrong with you, brother?! haha Actually Linda did smell a rat. I'm thinking 170 LW with an f-hole. A natural top in birds eye. Nah.......
High Flying Bird Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Up kinda late arent you bro? Time police Gunny?
Kuz Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Brian, GREAT score and welcome to two clubs.... 1) The VSB 150 Club 2) The Mulitiple 150 Club (this is the one I am still trying to explain to the wife. But see you have it covered as well... "Ah, Honey, Yes they are the same type of guitar, but see they each have different pickups so that make them sound completely different!" Well, it's worth a try..... Congrats again, and you got a great price on that one too!!!!
blueox Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 " . . . I'm thinking 170 LW with an f-hole. A natural top in birds eye . . . " Oh, yeah!
tulk1 Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 What color is that? Nice finish, as always from the 'zoo. But I can't place the color.
schundog Posted January 29, 2012 Author Posted January 29, 2012 What color is that? Nice finish, as always from the 'zoo. But I can't place the color. Here's the back of the cover. It's VSB. The pickups were originally Seth Lovers, but Mark swapped them out for Lindy Fralins, and I really like them! http://i840.photobucket.com/albums/zz327/schundog/oldampheads068.jpg[/img]"]http://
MartyGrass Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 The finish is a more subtle VSB with less red in it. It's serene and mesmerizing. Very classy.
Hfan Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Congrats Brian, beautiful guitar for sure, enjoy.
eljay Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 good on ya schunster! that git-tar is a serious treat for the eyes . . .
schundog Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 The finish is a more subtle VSB with less red in it. It's serene and mesmerizing. Very classy. The guitar IS very classy. I, unfortunately, am not.... Can I still keep it?!
koula901 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Congrats on a stunning guitar! I think this is one of my more favorite VSBs that I've seen here. And I love Lindy Fralins. Good score! Oh - the pics of wifey are precious! : D
golferwave Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 That's a real beauty! Very nice top and those pickups are a favorite of many players. Enjoy!
kidsmoke Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 this was the guitar I was showing PunkKitty at the bar when I finally got her gas'sing for a Heritage. This thing is absolutely stunning. Illinois is gaining a couple fantastic Heritages this week. With that guitar in house, I think we will have to road trip down there and check it out, bring the 535 and the 170 along for ride, especially now that I know you've a DR a C30 and a mystery amp to be named later. Enjoy man, that thing is gorgeous.
