kcmalo Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Hello has anyone heard that heritage is building firebird type guitars? Thanks
Spectrum13 Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 H 357 Reverse. Very limited new production however. You can check to gallery for photos. H357 owners sleep late on Sundays.
High Flying Bird Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Not all 357 owners sleep late on Sundays.
FredZepp Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 If you use our search and enter H357 .... and select Forums, you will get some search results. There is speculation on how long this will be made. Marv Lamb, one of the owners and original Gibson employee from the early 50's, is making these and may not make more of them because of the work involved. As you can see, it is a neck though design with multi layers of contrasting wood.
DetroitBlues Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Not to mention Marv refuses to pass on the process for building one of those...
kcmalo Posted January 29, 2012 Author Posted January 29, 2012 What a beast!! If you can get them to make one what will it set u back?
blackthorn Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 This my H357 from '92 with Seymour Duncan minihums . I have few nice guitars including Fender EJ, Gibson Standard, Don Grosh Bent Top, but this Heritage is that one that I never want to sell.

This is the first one I've seen with a non-reverse headstock.
blackthorn Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 My band mates ask me if I am a fan of Dave Grohl when see me first time with my H357
brentrocks Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 I heard they made something like that..... Here is my 2010 Korina H 357:

FredZepp Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 How much dose it cost to owen I haven't bought one, so I'd have to guess. ... maybe a bit over the $3,000 mark ... depending on features.
smaj Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Fredzep is close. I can tell you they are worth every penny you'll spend.
PunkKitty Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I haven't bought one, so I'd have to guess. ... maybe a bit over the $3,000 mark ... depending on features. That's way above my budget. It was a stretch for me to afford my used H-170, It's just not going to happen for me.
brentrocks Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I'm not a lefty. I want a right handed H357. With a Bigsby. i dont know why i thought you were a lefty????

DetroitBlues Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I haven't bought one, so I'd have to guess. ... maybe a bit over the $3,000 mark ... depending on features. That offically takes that guitar off my list... Guess if I want that style, I'll have to find a used G-brand one...
H Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 That offically takes that guitar off my list... Guess if I want that style, I'll have to find a used G-brand one... Play one on a strap first, DB. The one Firebird I've had suffered badly with neck dive.
