SouthpawGuy Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Thanks for the pics brent, and thanks to the guys, (and girls), at Heritage for the "real life" views of the factory and it's people. Very appreciated
yoslate Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Thanks for the look, Brent! Very much appreciated! The Super'll be done when it's finished...and not a minute before.... I just hope it's here by the time I open for Margolin, then leave for Kalamazoo three days later! Sure do want to have it for The Pilgrimage! ;D
fxdx99 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Thanks for the pics, Brent. Must have been a fun visit today. Nice to put faces with some of the folks. Didn't realize just how blue Katie's 150 burst is - very cool.
Thundersteel Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I like Ren's shirt! I second that. I wonder if the HOC members can get some of those?
tulk1 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I second that. I wonder if the HOC members can get some of those? I hear there's a secret password and handshake, then you get one. Cool pics!
golferwave Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Thanks for the pics Brent! Wow! The finish on Katies H-150 is certainly very unusual. Dot inlays? Custom Cool!
brentrocks Posted June 14, 2008 Author Posted June 14, 2008 I second that. I wonder if the HOC members can get some of those? THOSE ARE VINCE'S SHIRTS THAT HE HAD MADE FOR THE EMPLOYEES AND I BELIEVE, TO SELL TO PEOPLE TAKING TOURS. I CAN TALK TO VINCE AND ASK IF HE WOULD ALLOW HOC MEMBERS TO PURCHASE THAT SHIRT THROUGH ME....KINDA LIKE THE PILGRIMAGE SHIRTS IT CARRIES THE HERITAGE NAME, SO VINCE KINDA HAS TO MAKE THE CALL....BUT WE ARE NOT SELLING FOR PROFIT, SO I DONT THINK HE WOULD MIND. IT IS A COOL SHIRT AS WELL, LIKE THE HOC SHIRTS
brentrocks Posted June 14, 2008 Author Posted June 14, 2008 Thanks for the pics Brent! Wow! The finish on Katies H-150 is certainly very unusual. Dot inlays? Custom Cool! YEAH MAN...ABALONE DOT INLAYS, PEGHEAD INLAY, TRUSS COVER....THE PAINT IS KILLER!
pushover Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Brent, The pix are way cool.. thanks.. Good to see Katie and her way kewl guitar, and be able to put a face to the name. And there is something just way awesome about seeing real people working on the instruments. Where's all that automation and machinery? You can't build guitars by hand.. The Japs showed us this many years ago, along with group morning exersizes and other rah rah company team building.. What can Heritage be thinking? Hand crafting.. It'll never catch on! -- Scott
Mikenov Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 I love that Blue Tie Dye Burst... if I could get that finish I think even the Wife would green light that purchase.. just stunning. I love the Blue burst but it looked to me to even have a sort of Tie Dye quality to it... just awesome!
Gitfiddler Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 These 'inside' looks at Heritage really makes this site special. Thanks, Brent!!
High Flying Bird Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Brent, you did the Lord's work today. Thanks! The last two years we visited my aunt in Indiana but since the tours were on Wednesdays we couldn't drive up because we were headed home by Tuesday. I am so excited about the trip. I am not in the best of positions to make the trip either but in life you have to do what you need to do and I need to be a part of this. I long to smell the saw dust in the air. There are a lot of hands to shake as well.
brentrocks Posted June 14, 2008 Author Posted June 14, 2008 no problem guys...my pleasure! ;D 8)
brentrocks Posted June 14, 2008 Author Posted June 14, 2008 I long to smell the saw dust in the air. There are a lot of hands to shake as well. DUDE!!! you will walk out of that place with a smell in your nose that you will never forget....that place smells wonderful!!
fxdx99 Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Yoslate - that's a cool gig you've got opening for Margolin. What a history/career that guy has! Last I saw him, he played in Minneapolis with a local hot picker, Charlie Bingham (Lamont Cranston, Hoopsnakes). Hot players! You'll have to tell us about the gig at the tour. Yeh, hope your guit gets there in time.
