JackBaruth Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I was in New Orleans over the weekend and I stopped at the New Orleans Music Exchange to see what they had for sale. The answer: four CBS-era Fender J-basses, priced between $5500 and $7000. LOL as they say. The store closed half an hour early (after assuring me on the phone they would stay open 'till 5) but I happened to notice they had a very old amp in the window. It was completely dust-covered but I believe it was a Gibson TR-1000RVT Starfire, which was one of the first solid-state production amps.
