wonderful amp - one of the best overdriven sounds ever. Made them in that style for a short time, '52 to... '54 me thinks.

Sunday night in NOLA I saw this guy:

He was playing a Les Paul goldtop with P-90s through the same amp. He told me it was a GA-40 but it doesn't look like any of the GA-40s I've seen. Ideas?

 

The dog appears to be howling in the background....

those are really funky old amps..never seen one in person

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then....

I didn't catch it before. It would appear that KBP810 was first through the gate with the correct answer. While I still agree with DB, I agree with KBP first. :D

We are both right.... It is a GA40... that particular early model that was made for a few years was meant as a package deal of a Les Paul with a matching Les Paul amp....
