kidsmoke Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Woo Hoo! When can I come over to play??!?!?!?! Looks great, but we knew that. Looking forward to your opinion after a few hours and a close inspection, to hear how it stacks up to your other babies. As for buying....well, let's see how this week goes and maybe I can help you out with that too. I-cheap....i resemble that remark!
Jimbob Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 PK.....about all I can say is welcome to the HOC, and it was certainly a great pleasure meeting and dealing with you here! I sincerely hope you enjoy the guitar for many years to come! And, oh yeah.....we show a little porn once in a while here, too:
bolero Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 wow congrats!! that thing looks awesome! and welcome to the forum/club etc
H Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Welcome to a very exclusive club, PunkKitty Great guitar and sounds like another smooth transaction courtesy of a good friend of mine, Jimbob. Time to play!
Guest HRB853370 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I cannot get over how stunning that 170 is in GT. PK, you should be glad I didn't spot that for sale on the HOC. I may have entertained buying it from JimBob, who happens to be a very nice fellow too! Now I have serious GAS for one, and I think the only way to find one identical is going to be to order one! BTW, are all 170's, 2nd gen, semihollow? I always thought the 170 was a solid body. Anybody?
blueox Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Way to go! Nothing like a double cutaway for complete fretboard access along with a look that sets it apart from so many others.
barrymclark Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 That seriously is an awesome goldtop! Great snag!

A friend is staying with me after her surgery on Tuesday. I'll be playing nurse all week. Maybe the week of the 13th.

Guest HRB853370 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I got I think. Sensitive group. Did I piss someone off? Honest mistake. We are just shaking your tree!!!!
Guest HRB853370 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 No! Sorry if I came off kind of curt. His name is Mark Katie!!! Not Curt!!!
Guest HRB853370 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Congrats, PunkKitty! Let's hear it for the Illinois Chapter of Heritage Electric Audio Players, or I-CHEAP! No, that will never fly....Oh, well, who cares what we call ourselves, we've got Heritage guitars, therefore we RULE!!! haha. I think she should come to Atlanta. We have more HOC members per square mile than there is in Illini? Isn't that how they say it there?
schundog Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I think she should come to Atlanta. We have more HOC members per square mile than there is in Illini? Isn't that how they say it there? No, No, No, Rhythm-Boy, it's pronounced "ILL-ANNOY," rhyming with "WILL; ANNOY" haha. "The Fighting Illini" is the name of the sports teams for the university, who USED to have Chief Illiniwek as a mascot, until pressures from the Illiniwek tribe forced "The Chief" out. Not looking to bring up a touchy subject that got beat to death around here, but I will say I think it all got a little blown out of proportion. For your viewing pleasure, you can see the Chief's last dance around 4:30 in this video; By the way, they beat Michigan that night.....
