bolero Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 just curious...I have a blue H150 with some crazy flame, but it is quite buried under a fairly opaque trans-blue if I got the whole guitar refinished in vintage burst, any idea what it would cost? alternately, I guess I could try to "thin" the present blue top to make it more transparent but it has some other cosmetic issues as well...factory 2nd thx!
TalismanRich Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I think it ran about 4 or 5 hundred when I had my water damaged 157 fixed. Nitro had cracks in it from the bridge to the endpin, around the knobs and on the back. They also fixed a small ding near the pickguard, resprayed the burst and put new nitro on it. You might also talk to Brent. He's had Pete Moreno work on several guitars. He might also be able to redo the finish.
brentrocks Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 If Heritage's quote is what you think may be too high....i would definately check out Pete you just thinking of doing the top only?

bolero Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 I think the top only may be a better idea honestly I might even just leave it: it's a good instrument..just thinking out loud thx!
Gitfiddler Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Have any of you guys dealt with RS Guitar Works? I've read great things about them on the LP Forum. They do refins from mint to extreme aged. http://www.rsguitarworks.net/cms2/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=28&Itemid=46 http://www.rsguitarworks.net
