stevesmith1987 Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Hello everyone, first post. I've had this beauty on layaway for an agonizing few months and I finally got it. Basicially I'd just bought an Korean Epiphone Les Paul and the fretbuzz was giving me fits. So after doing everything I thought I could do, I decided screw it, go big or go home. My guitar shop isn't a Gibson dealer, but they had Heritage for quite awhile and I always thought.... wow, no way I could afford one of those. Well I changed my mind and pulled the trigger, he gave me credit for the Epi and I took the plunge. It sounds fantastic, I've tried it up against several Gibsons they had come through. Starting with a custom that sounded like total crap, a standard which was good, but not as good as this. Also an ESP Eclipse II which doesn't have the LP sound at all. So here are so more shots. And next to its distant Korean cousin (Agile 2000) Absolutley love it, its going to alterate being my main next to my Gibson Explorer from 91.

DetroitBlues Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Welcome to the forum! How would you compare your Agile to the Heritage. (I know what everyone else's opinion is!) Just curious to see what a newcomer thinks....

stevesmith1987 Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 Welcome to the forum! How would you compare your Agile to the Heritage. (I know what everyone else's opinion is!) Just curious to see what a newcomer thinks.... I love the Agile too. Surprisingly its much heavier than the Heritage and I beleive its solid mahogony. I did however have to do some work to get it into working condition. First the stock pickups were terrible, so I first replaced them with a Epiphone stock I had laying around and then after that GHS pups which while good didn't suit my needs so I got a set of hot Dragofire Screamers and I have it sounding how I want it. Also installed a coil tap. Its the second Agile I've owned (and I also have an SX Strat with P90s) The Heritage is a little more comfortable and of course sounds a little sweeter but in a situation where i'm playing a bar in a shady part of town or i'm going on the road the Agile will make an excellent stand-in. I must also say the Agile with korean Dragonfire pickups sounds better than the korean Epiphone I had with a Seymour Duncan JB. Love Rondo guitars, I'm certain it won't be my last.
SouthpawGuy Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Congrats on your first Heritage, very nice !
