Guys, I need some help.

I want to order, in the next few months my custom made Heritage.

I am thinking about one of these 3:

H110

H157

H170

What kind of customization would you guys do for each one?

I know it's a matter of taste and preferences, but I just want to know what the options are and what goes with what, if you know what I mean

Oh Lord, you should get a zillion replies on this one. Let the you know what hit the fan boyz! I couldn't begin to tell ya as all I ever bought was used Heritages!

just to be clear, I like this three because one is a classic, one a classic with a "spin" and one is just different. I never actually saw a 110, just heard sound clips but i really like it

H-157 VSB; Seymour Duncan Seth Lover's... I am easy to please!

Pretty close to what I'd get, H-157, splitblock inlays, doublebound body,in VSB, black back, neck and sides, Duncan JB/Jazz pups, and locking bridge and tuners.

you will have instant mojo with a 110; they are funky in a good way and very uncommon. almond sunburst or old-style sunburst (not to be confused with vintage sunburst) with traps on rosewood fb would be a delightful guitar. good luck with your quest! eljay

I would go for the 157 in an LW, Pearloid tulip tuners, split block markers, in either VSB or ALSB, although a nice deep wine color would be nice. Medium 3 piece neck with asymmetrical cut and bone nut,

There are lots of options for pickups... I would have to do more research on that part. RS Guitarworks wiring harness for the electronics.

I would order a H 110 with the premium wood package, trap inlays, bound/inlayed headstock and a JB/59 pickup combo

Think, too, about nut width (1 3/4ths vs. 1 11/16ths), and neck carve ( baseball bat, "C," "D"), chambered, rosewood or ebony board, Bigsby.... Doing a custom order is really exciting! Have fun with this!

My 2 cents:

H157, Emerald Green, Black hardware, split block inlay (I don't like full blocks on ebony)

H170, Sunset burst, trap inlays

I'm not a fan of gold hardware.

pups are such a personal thing I have no comment.

In the future I may try to order a Milli Ultra - Dark Wine Burst - Abalone and MOP inlays - Floentine cut - with Seth Lovers

Sorry, really doesn't address your question but I couldn't help it :)

Interesting question. Have you scanned the HOC Gallery for something that came close to what you like? If so, just copy and paste the image over here and we can all jump in with even more suggestions.

I'd say the same, except add a single f hole.

gosh... they all seem great ideas.

I have still few month before I pull the trigger, I will be coming back to this topic over and over...

:icon_santa: H157 in natural with a Duncan Jazz/Seth Lover combination. It is just like the one in their catalog.
