Hfan Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 If interested, there is an interview with Framptom this morning on the CBS Sunday morning show re his lost guitar.
Hfan Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 Oops..thought I was in the Family Tree...hasn't aired yet..saw a clip, Framptom said he "lost his mojo" when the guitar was lost..
Kuz Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Yea, well I lost some of my mojo when I turned 40 and a guitar had nothing to do with it!
Guest HRB853370 Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Thanks H, that was a cool segment, I had no idea that Peter lives in Cincinnati. Don't we have Fredzep, Nonameband and Jackbaruth all in Cincinnati also? How many of you have seen or hung out with Peter!! Also, I thought the foosball table in his living room where the gold and platinum records were hanging was cool. I used to have one just like it in my dining room.
barrymclark Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Very cool. I remember seeing a thread on this in the Family Tree sometime ago. What are the chances!

I am 45 minutes to Northern Cincinnati. I knew that he live there. Seems like a real down to earth guy and says he likes the Mid-West culture.
Hfan Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 I loved his music room. Told my 8 year old "thats what Daddy needs" of course she rolled her eyes. Cool that he got to play out with it again, wonder if he'll replace the missing headstock inlay. Also amazing it survived the crash at all. As per the interview he didn't get it back until 2 years of "negotiations".

One of my drum buddies toured with Peter for 5 years, after leaving Tricia Yearwood's backing band. I always kidded him, telling him when he gets burned out or a better offer, let me know so I can audition. Turned out, Peter changed out drummers, instead of him giving his notice.
koula901 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 yeah, I saw that segment on Sunday Morning today - it was pretty neat. Did you see how he hugged that guitar, and how he played it in concert - he looked like the happiest man ever!
FredZepp Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 http://www.cbsnews.c...3A+CBSNews.com) Hey ... that was a cool segment... Thanks for the heads up.
Joe Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I can't figure out how I missed that thread in Family Tree. What an interesting guitar story. I was at the EMU show also. It was a fabulous concert. Later that year I saw Frampton at Cobo. That was the loudest show I was ever at.

Kuz Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I wish he would have played his original black 3 pup LP in the concert clip. He proabaly isn't touring with it, but I wonder if it is completely playable, reliable, intonation, ect???? Or is it just a glorified fireplace guitar. It would be even a cooler story if the guitar was back to 100% playability. Anyone know for sure???

Joe Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I am pretty certain I was there...but I may have been too drugged up to remember.... Relatively sober at that one. Did get in trouble for climbing the speaker scaffolding, (good times).I remember driving home from the Cobo show with one eye closed, (not good times).

Don't know if he is using it all the time though.
