MartyGrass Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 This is not my guitar and probably never will be. But it's fresh from Heritage. It has no cupid's bow and has a 1 3/4" nut plus split block inlays. Note the tailpiece Heritage used and the bridge. Very nice.
Kuz Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Yep, Patrick and I talked about this one.... Great to see some pics. Another incredible Heritage Archtop!!!!
FredZepp Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Very nice... looks great in the pics. Love that pic of the back that is all flamey ... and looks pretty sweet from the front side also.
Gitfiddler Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Patrick has superb taste in fine archtops!!! I'd like to hear more about that dual thumb-wheel'd bridge. Pros/Cons/Benefits compared to single thumb-wheel bridges...
MartyGrass Posted February 26, 2012 Author Posted February 26, 2012 It's designed to prevent the bridge from lurching back and forth with tuning and bends. And maybe that helps sustain by keeping the string right on the apex of the slot. I don't know though.
hinesarchtop Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 NIce looking G. Eagle. It's kind of like a Johnny Smith since it's 1 3/4 @ the nut, and has no cupids bow. Is it 25 or 25.5 scale?
MartyGrass Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 That's a 25.5". You're right, it's damned close to a JS.
