yavuz Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 And, I am speechless What do you guys think? I have good taste or what?
fxdx99 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Elegant! That really is a beautiful piece, Yavuz. Nicely done!
rjsanders Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 single-pickup Ultra? great idea. makes me wonder what a Kent Armstrong mini in the neck would sound like with that. which pickup did you go with?
yavuz Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 I went with the Seth Lover, but originally we had agreed on HRWs. It was November 14 when I ordered, then HRWs became unavailable? How ease or hard is it to change pickups on this baby? I hope I won't have to find out. I like my SD Antiquities that I have on my guild. I also like G. 57 Classics. And Bryan makes a nice pup called Lizard. http://www.bg-pups.com/hb.html If I like the way it sounds, I will never touch it.
Gitfiddler Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Yavuz~ What a beautiful Goldtop Millenium!! I bet you'll love the Seth in the neck.

rjsanders Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I went with the Seth Lover,... that might've been my first choice & was what i had in my Millie Ltd. Ed. enjoy!
big bob Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Understated elegance... verry nice.. Happy New Guitar Day!
H Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I'm drooling over that plain ebony fretboard. Excellent choices all over that build. Congratulations
DetroitBlues Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I love the bare ebony fretboards. There is just something so classy about that. Neck only pickup? Pure Blues machine to me!
yavuz Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 I had the chance to copy from my Heritage H575 of course. Check that out here:
yavuz Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 Check out where the Volume knob is. It is different than a stock Millie. I would like to do volume swells with my volume knob. Like Ritchie Blackmore style
schundog Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Very nice!! Happy NHD!! Great guitar for a great player.

Like Ritchie Blackmore style Good spot for it for sure! I just watched a video of Joe Bonamassa covering Soulshine in 2005 with a gold sparkle strat. His use of volume swells was incredible.

Nice and Full, not too trebly..Congratulations!!
MartyGrass Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 A Seth is a good choice. I don't see why you would want to change it. Pickup changes are moderately difficult, harder than a usual Millie but easier than the Millie Eagle. Someone experienced with archtops should be able to do a change in an hour or less. Heritage does an excellent goldtop.
blueox Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Congratulations on a very tasteful version! It has all you would want in a guitar--no more, no less.
