If HRWs are no longer available, which pickups might come closest to their sound if I were to order a new H157? Already have a H140 anniversary with SD '59s - so don't need to duplicate that.

thanx all.

They are sometimes available on eBay.

RhoadesScholar is selling a H150 with HRWs. He may sell the pickups out of it. I'd ask him.

I find Schallers sound the closest, but they are not the same.

I would ask Ren himself. He might have the best idea.

Been a long time since I've used one but if we're talking Duncan pickups a bridge position SH-11 Custom Custom in a Godin LGXA sounded similar, hot and bright. In the ball park but not exactly the same.

Actually the pickup in the Godin was a custom Custom Custom. Never really took to that pickup, much preferred the Jazz II in the neck.

So, are they still available on new guitars or not?

Can't get them on a new production Heritage.

It sounds like there will be a set available soon coming off RhoadsScholar's H150 in the For Sale section.

I may have a few available in a while, too. I'm not sure yet.

As far as I know Heritage isn't making the pickup anymore.

Heritage doesn't do well with updating their website. Plus, the HRWs are unique and not producing them might lose an attractive point for some folks in deciding to buy a Heritage.
