2bornot2bop Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Lady Rose makes a soft landing and is snuggling in right at home with her new stablemates. Mark was absolutely correct, pictures don't begin to capture the full beauty of this archtop as she appears in person. Her coat is truly a work of art. The overall fit and finish is beyond any Heritage guitar I've held. Upon close examination one is left with the feeling that someone at Kalamazoo chose to pull out all the stops creating this Super Eagle. Acoustically she's very competitive with my AJ817C arched back jumbo. I couldn't be more pleased. Lady Rose has made my year and a half search more than worth the wait. The Tinman truly strikes again. Thank you Mark!
Gitfiddler Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 2B2B~ Simply amazing!! You did real good on this one, my friend. Play it in good health.
FredZepp Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 That looks delicious in those photos. That is a very special finish, for sure, and a fantastic looking instrument all the way around. Congrats on a wonderful Heritage.
skydog52 Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I was GASing for that one bad. Day late and a dollar short! Congrats. It's a beauty!
2bornot2bop Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 A smooth transaction. Thanks. I believe that's now 2 "smooth jazz transactions" if my math is right!
2bornot2bop Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 This being my first 18" guitar I'm surprised how comfortable it is and how easy it is to play. Perhaps I've been in training for it all along with occasional playing on my 17" acoustic arched back jumbo. The SE is more comfortable to play than the smaller jumbo. Thanks to all for the congrat's and well wishes. I think she's a keeper!
MartyGrass Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 It's the amber toggle switch cap that makes the look!
2bornot2bop Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 It's the amber toggle switch cap that makes the look! Yeah, that matched the pick guard to a "T"didn't it. Replacing the stock black vol-tone knobs to amber's didn't hurt either.
