just a set up, and some work on the frets... it has after all 24 years of life.

It is a little beaten up, with some scars here and there (most notably the very tip go the headstock got damaged during the transoceanic trip from Italy to here... and I did the glue job myself, the damage being in a non structural point).

Anyway to make a long story short... the guys at the shop used by the local GC would not stop looking at my old lady and asked me so many questions. They would literally not let me go!

I felt a like a proud dad :)

Which GC in Chi-Town? I picked up my G-Brand ES-335 Memphis Reissue from the one in Arlington Heights, but have visited the one downtown, too. Nice Axe, man! Enjoy it.

Very nice. Not sure if I'd trust GC, but setups aren't that hard though. Some of those guys have no idea what they are doing.

The tech in our GC is one of the best techs in the area. He went "inside" for the steady paycheck. I'd trust this guy with any instrument I have.

On the State Deluxe. That looks like a nice one, hockey head stock and all. :-)

You are probably right, but for a simple setup I think it's not worth the extra hassle

In that part of town, I prefer Chicago Fret Works on Lincoln Ave. I've also used Third Coast on Racine several times. The repair shop at GC on Halsted is run by Third Coast.

Beautiful Stat.

It's a good sign that the guys at the store could see that it is something special... some fine Parsons St. quality.

PK, we must be neighbors then.

I never used Chicago Fret Works but that's what they suggest at the Old Town School of Music so, I guess it must be good.

Thanks for sharing it.

That's a nice one Gpuma!

What is the triangle shape on the front?

I spend much of my free time at OTS. Right now I'm in a Cure ensemble there.

yes it is. I know it looks terrible but it's like a safety blanket for me :icon_smurf:
