DetroitBlues Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 Can't wait to try it out tonight!!! KBP is the man!
koula901 Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Woo Hoo! I can't wait to hear your sound report, also, I've been curious about the Peavey Delta Blues, with a 15" amp - how the two compare.
DetroitBlues Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 I can tell you the Peavey has a much more usable preamp od then the Fender.
knopfler74 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I posted in this thread earlier, but selfishly mentioned my strat instead of just saying NAD'S RAWK DUDE! Well.... NAD'S RAWK, DUDE! Congrats, and I can't wait to hear what you have to say about the mods! I've owned 2 Blues Jr's and they are exceptional amps! Nice choice!
DetroitBlues Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 Unfortunatetly today is my son's birthday. By the time I got home (about 15 minutes ago), I did not have a chance to try either the amp or the new OD pedal...
Blunote Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Ok Mr. amp-of-the-month-club, we've waited for the result. Now tell us how it sounds!
DetroitBlues Posted April 22, 2012 Author Posted April 22, 2012 Um, no report...There was a slight mishap that requires some attention to the amp...
H Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Um, no report...There was a slight mishap that requires some attention to the amp... Bad news, DB It's not nice when your amp isn't working properly. Hope it's blowing your ears off soon
DetroitBlues Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 Me too, but thankfully, I can still lug around my Deltablues. Its just 15lbs heavier. I'm glad I decided to keep to amps just for reasons like this...
DetroitBlues Posted April 24, 2012 Author Posted April 24, 2012 The doctor hasn't gotten back to me about it.. I'm sure we'll hear from him soon.
DetroitBlues Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 I have the amp back with me now. I won't have time to try it, but I will either tomorrow or Sunday.
DetroitBlues Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 Sounds great. I can't say there was a huge difference, but I do have a significantly improve tone controls. The bass is almost too much because it actually rattles the reverb tank a little. The amp is great and will probably be present at my next gig. While I can no longer say I have a KBP amp, I can say that I have a KBP Hot Rodded Amp....
