t0aj15 Posted March 27, 2012 Author Posted March 27, 2012 Awesome! Thanks for the info! I have heard from a few people that this is a very good sounding effects unit. I have to admit even though I also have the Rolls-Royce of processors the Axe-Fx this one is impressing the hell out of me. For $500 it FAAAR surpasses any $500 worth of pedals you can buy individually, no matter who makes them. And all the routing and wiring problems (noise etc.) are just non existent.
DetroitBlues Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I'm always interested in multieffects units. I'd just prefer models that are pure effects. Not amp/cab simulators added to it...

DetroitBlues Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Just another reason to get one! They do make a smaller one, but it seems almost too small to be useful.

Bonefish Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 As an additional note, I am loving the HD500 which is the same idea with amp modeling thrown in (which can be turned off) and a few extra features. What I LOVE is that I can setup pedal chains on my computer and even control which ones are in the effects loop. Just getting started, but I am absolutely stunned by this thing. Even on the total 'synth' type effects, changing the tone or pickup on the guitar makes a tremendous effect. It's so powerful but still transparent which is really cool.
