unikh550 Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 After talking and talking about it, I'm finally bringing in my '98 Antique Cherryburst H-550 with the Charlie Christian to Heritage this Monday to have it refinished. Am meeting with Jim French to discuss what they wish to do: Their choice of either Wineburst or the color combo of a Caramel Milky Way wrapper (Sort of a gumball yellow burst with a medium brown surrounding it, with yellow violin type ribs showing through the brown on the sides. If they go with the wine, will leave the headplate black, but if the brown, will have them do a curly maple headplate. Am also having them put on gold Gotoh M-6 Shaller copies that are new from Luthiers Mercantile International. May have them replace the chrome H tailpiece with a gold finger tailpiece. Will be a rough 4-5 weeks without it. Just never glommed on to that stop sign red of the ACB - Charley Bevell..
