Greetings from Birmingham, AL! The fam and I are convoying down to Florida for Spring Break, and we stopped in Franklin, TN, to see my wife's childhood friend and family. Two exits before we got there, I asked if she minded if we stopped by Wolfes. She was fine with it, and even snapped a couple pics. I chatted with Ron there, a bit, and they said they were WAY low on Heritage inventory, that orders had been coming in slowly. I told him how busy they were, so that made sense to him. I felt bad taking his time, but I told him up front I wasn't buying anything today, and gave him 2 Heritage picks. I did buy a Wolfe Guitar T-shirt, and, as he rang up the $13 purchase, his boss tossed a Wolfe Guitars baseball hat on the counter, and said, "Hey, you bought a shirt, you GET a hat!" Very cool gesture. Here's a couple pics.

The Blueburst was a 25th Anniversary, too. SWEET! RS, I didn't play anything, as we were in a hurry, and I don't feel right playing guitars I'm not even considering buying (not that they weren't sweet, the stable is simply overstuffed!). I did check out the neck profile on a G&L ASAT Classic. NICE! Ron was a good salesman, asking very good questions, as a salesman should. He made me wish he worked for ME! haha. I've got a pic of the Sweet 16 that was behind the counter on my iphone, I'll try to upload it later this week.

Welcome to Alabama Shundog! Even if you're just passing through. You passed by me and the Bird by about 20 miles.

I love going to Wolfe's every chance I get. They are only about 1 1/2 hours from Huntsville. My inlaws live in Nasville (Mt. Juliet actually, but close enough) so I do get to stop by every few months.

John and all the guys there are a class act.

They always make me feel at home even when I'm just window shopping.Have a great time on the Redneck Riveria.

What musician wouldn't want to try some of those... they look fantastic..

I was counting on you to take pics when I read the title of this thread... Thanks.

So you drove by my house and didn't even bother to honk....

Schundog, you may as well turn around and go home. You've seen the best the south has to offer and somehow managed to piss off the locals.

Great shots of the inventory; thanks for the porn. May the rest of your vacation be as beautiful!

I'll be in Nashville in about three weeks and am looking forward to stopping by. I'm hoping they have an H-525 I can take for a spin.

I actually felt a tinge of excitement for you there SPG. 'Till I saw they spell everything backwards...

And it's an interesting poster featuring Marv, no less.

where in florida?

Fort Walton Beach, Lance. We're leaving Friday morning, so if you would want to come up for a beer or dinner before then, PM me.

Ron, I WOULD have honked, but I didn't want to scare the sheep you were trying to help over that fence! haha.

Here's a few more pictures from the other side of the store, and some amps.

LOTS of G&Ls

Brent, I didn't see much used stuff, just a rosewood colored Alvarez Dreadnaught as I was getting ready to leave. Very cool store, indeed.

Is that a head amp conversion?? Talk about cool!!

Yeah, man. He says the company refurbs Hammond Organs, and if they are not salvagable as organs, they use the transformers from them and the woods from the remains to make these amps. Oh, by the way, here's that Wolfe Guitars T-Shirt, straight from the beach.....

Sweet! You are a korina buying fool, Jack! I've read the reviews on those, and they certainly look tempting.

Okay, this is SO funny. I stopped by Wolfe on Thursday, which was the 22nd, I think. And I spent a little cash on a Korina ASAT Junior.

Very nice Jack! Things must be going better for you now! Korina is an awesome tone wood!
