Seems like everyone in Turkey knows everyone else!

What's with that?

That is the magic of HOC Brotherhood ;)

It's a funny coincidence that I was in military high school ( Kuleli ) probably the same school he went before becoming a pilot.

I always wanted to fly but never pursued that dream.

Pursued jazz instead.

And the closest I could come to flying satisfaction is when I tour with my bike.

Here are some shots of me and my wife when we were on the road for 2500KM ( nearly 1550 miles ) in southern Turkey.

As far as jams go, I used to go to blues jams during 90s when I lived in New York.

I was there between 1989 - 2006.

Upper East Side had a Blues Club called Manny's Car Wash.

I jammed with Mick Jones on stage once.

Yavuz, it's nice to see you around ;)

Transalp is a fantastic machine. I had a BMW F650 once, but sold it during my immigration to Canada. I'm really craving for another one right now, but can't dare to ride in Istanbul.

Thanks again everyone. I'm so glad you like it. I am very glad to be a member of the HOC.

Especially I want to tank to Nachogrande(Serhan) for his guidence. He is one of the very best people I know. He is so special.

Yavuz, really nice to see you here. You are the one of a true artist for me. People has much to learn from you. By the way your bike is awesome. I am a big fan of bikes but I had never tried yet but I will!

Nice Goldtop pics , a classic beauty from Kalamazoo .. ..

And especially glad that the John Mayall connection to Buddy was mentioned.

I just watched the DVD of his concert recently, but didn't really recognize Buddy here until that was mentioned.. good times.

My advice (for what it's worth) to young unmarried males, is to buy a motorcycle and a handgun (whether they need one or not) before they marry. That sets a precedent and avoids much strife later on should you decide to obtain one or the other.

One of the things I enjoy about this place is how many side roads and switchbacks our threads take.

This one is about as twisty as the Southern Turkey highways described by Yavuz! A fun, international ride! :icon_salut:

Yes, Gold Tops to blues celebrities to F-16 to bikes and touring and back to music.

I love my new custom gold top which I received last week BTW.

My fingers were sore this morning from playing 10:00 AM yesterday to 2:00 AM this morning.

I don't usually practice more than 5-6 hours a day.

I didn't have a gig last night and I could not put my guitar down.

I have to be careful at my age not to get hurt but it was fun. :)

Thanks, it was fun. The high way part was OK but most fun was on the dirt roads of little villages.

We have been to some real nice places and had some good food.

I had done this in US by car.

On the East Coast and West Coast as well.

I miss those breakfasts ( grits :) ) in Atlanta, South Carolina.

I once left NY and did Philly, Baltimore, Virginia, NC, SC, Atlanta, Florida ,Miami, Key West.

On the west coast, I flew to Vegas, rented a car, drove to LA and all the way up to Seattle.

When I was passing by Santa Maria, I stopped for lunch at a Domino's and some body was yelling he is innocent.

That was the day when jury dropped the charges for Michael Jackson and I realized we were in his town :)

Exactly!

When I was a kid, I had dirt bikes. My friends and I raced them. Created a game that was a sort of cross between hide 'n seek and tag played at night on the bikes. We did hill climbing, rode wheelies, did hill climbing at construction sites. Built a really challenging trials course. We'd get down in the freshly dug basements of new homes being constructed and ride the walls up the top using centrifical force. I won't say I was a gifed rider; but I was better than most. 25 years later my wife tells me she's against me purchasing a street bike to ride mostly in straight lines because I might hurt myself(?????). More specifically, after the children are though college, I'm free to buy a motorcycle and kill myself if that's what I really want to do.

Sheesh! I guess I know my value around here.

If only I had a bike when I met her, I'm sure she'd be my biker babe by now instead of the respectable, establishment type....mom that she is today.

Sorry for the vent.

Sorry for the vent.

I understand you I think.

No offense to women but it's funny how they want their men to be the fantasy person who can do different things.

Then ( after marriage ) they want you to turn in to mister reliable :)

Full time musicians might experience this most.

Just to throw this thread back towards Sforsa's OP, I was watching some Youtubes of Buddy today. It would have been cool to see him playing a 140.

Two great songs here.....
