brentrocks Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Katie posted these on Facebook today....what a sweet axe!!!!
Genericmusic Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 That is really nice. I hope they don't muck it up with gold hardware.
FredZepp Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Nice one ! It's always great to see them during the building process... That one looks like some fun specs for a hollow.. nice RW board..
bolero Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 that looks great, real nice pattern on the rw fretboard what finish will it be? ps - I call first dibs!!
Gitfiddler Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Nice. So far it looks like a custom order with Eagle headstock overlay and Choice woods. The top is either very lightly figures maple or spruce. Spruce would be another upgrade. Either way, that is going to be a choice piece when completed.
NoNameBand Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 I think I already posted that I recently saw a Heritage 525 being played on stage in the new video of Adele at the Royal Albert Hall (UK) concert filmed in November 2011.
dr_iggi Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 What a nice piece! The block inlays do add a lot to the H525 model.
kidsmoke Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Brent, what is the facebook identity that Katie posts under? Is it a personal account or some Heritage Identity? I can find anything like that, just the page that is essentially a wikipedia link.
big bob Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 That's the real deal boy, made by the best... I know i'm in the club..
brentrocks Posted March 29, 2012 Author Posted March 29, 2012 Brent, what is the facebook identity that Katie posts under? Is it a personal account or some Heritage Identity? I can find anything like that, just the page that is essentially a wikipedia link. its actually on Katie's husbands guitar. the pics are on his facebook page....Todd Flamm
Gitfiddler Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Killer maple, Tim!! Yes sir, but not mine. It's Katie's husband's git in the makin'. It is so great that we can see actual instruments being made by the makers own hands. Amazing folks at Heritage.
yoslate Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Yes sir, but not mine. Knew that! You've already got a definitive 525! Had just read your speculation about the top, perhaps, being spruce....
TalismanRich Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 I love seeing the workshop there at Heritage. You can always tell Katie's bench... it has the everpresent Mountain Dew Bottle!!!! I think it's been there every time I've see her at the bench.
yoslate Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 i like Mountain Dew Rich is talking about the soft drink, Brent!
bolero Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 oh, I thought that was Brent's guitar being built...doh!! who's ever it is, looks killer...I love those eagle headstocks
