I've been a Heritage owner for about 8 years and just found this page.  My first Heritage is an Eagle Natural that I bought as a jazz major in college.

My newest was purchased about three years ago.  It's a 1997 Heritage 535 in transparent black.  It's a great guitar but it's begging for new pickups.  I'm thinking about Duncan Phat Cats.  Any opinions?

I love both guitars though the Eagle doesn't get much use in the band I play in.  You can check them out at www.myspace.com/thesecondclasscitizens

Hi hubber and welcome to the HOC.

Some nice Heritages you have there.

You might want to ask big bob, he's around here somewhere , about the Duncan P-Rails. Plenty of tonal options with those pickups.

I've been itching to try those in a Heritage for a while now.

They are hard to install, but well worth it...

Ah, Binghamton- I remember a really bizzare night at Country Bob's about 13 years ago- they had a had a girl with a tray like the cigarette girls of yesteryear, but it was condoms she was selling..I got to play the Country Bob trip;e neck guitar- amd when the keyboard player tpld the waitress to give me "Whatever I wanted", she stuck my face in her chest!

Nice boxes, hubber!  Welcome to the HOC!  Lots to do here.  Enjoy!  I have been an advocate of Phat Cats here for a while.  I wish I could post some of the stuff I've done with them, but my "tech guy" has been unavailable....  I have them in both a 150 and a 576, which is a discontinued model, a bit like a deeper, single cut 535, laminated top, et.al.  I love those p'ups!  The neck is warm, the bridge bites nicely, together they have that classic "middle position" Gibson tone.  There's just about nothing that guitar can't do; it's my #1 instrument, very versatile!

Hub, that one sweet looking Eagle.  Welcome!

My money says that the cat loves to sleep in your Heritage cases when you play.
