Genericmusic Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 As for the Knobs, I don't like the gold reflectors for this guitar, however I really don't like black speed knobs, ever! any other thoughts? How abouy checker pieces for knobs even those cool dice ones you make? Or http://www.guitarfetish.com/Black-Knurled-Brass-Tele-Knobs-for-Split-Shaft-Pots_p_116.html
tbonesullivan Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 ROCK. ON. THat is a really nice look. Rick Nielsen would be proud.
Guest HRB853370 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Actually, that lever looks ok on that git. I would normally say, screw that thing. But this time around, its got class. Wow. Big Bob has class!
Trouble Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 If you're changing it to cream, try soaking it in coffee. Works, I've done white strat pup covers like this. Might want to try it on a scrap piece first to get an idea of the shade and how long to soak.

ledzef Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Have Rick Nielson in mind in case you want to sell that guitar someday?
TalismanRich Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Ok, this really freaked me out!!!! I'm browsing around and listening to this on Youtube. Suddenly I catch a glimpse of what must surely be a predecessor for Lance's 357 mod! Check this out!!!! Its Dick Wiegand in the band Crow.. circa 1970. EERIE.... It shows up better in the "Don't Lay No Boogie Woogie on the King of Rock and Roll".
Blunote Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 How bout something like this? http://www.allparts....pk-0183-025.htm Nah! it needs dice.
Breadfreak Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Bigsby looks great on it, but I really don't like that chequered pattern. It's much too glaring compared to the warmer, traditional look of the rest of the guitar. I really like the natural finish on that, by the way!
