BernardC Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Hi there,I bought a second hand Heritage G-150 last week. - photo of serial number below. The serial number starts with a letter (that supposedly should tell you the year of manufacture) which I cannot identify. Maybe someone out there has an idea:1. What is this letter?2. What year has this heritage been manufactured?thanksBernardAttached is a picture of the H-150 in question.
bobmeyrick Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 The letter looks like it could be "X", which would mean it was made in 2007. The next three letters give the day of the year, 365 - 041 = 324, which is 20 November. "05" means it was the fifth one completed that day. More info here - http://www.heritageownersclub.com/info.htm

TalismanRich Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 You can also look inside the control cavity at the label. They write the serial number inside the instrument as well. I agree with Bob, tho. It looks like X. That's a nice looking color on that 150. Can't tell if that is wine or a particularly dark trans. red. The label will also list the color. Welcome aboard Bernard.
DetroitBlues Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I using just use and abuse my guitars, I don't really date mine nor would I date someone elses.... As for when you guitar was made, I think everyone has it covered. I meant I usually use and abuse my guitars (in a good way!)

BernardC Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 I meant I usually use and abuse my guitars (in a good way!) You r right! but when you r still happy with your new guitar, you try to learn as much as possible about your guitar... then as you said its all about how you play the guitar and what musical sounds you can deliver & produce..
DetroitBlues Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Then you start to wonder what you'd like to do differently to it to make it your own.. Never stops...
