Guest HRB853370 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I am like a little kid waiting for Christmas! Only, Christmas in April. I am just absolutely salivating about receiving that 150 GT from Brentley with the Lollar P-90's. So, what can I expect sound wise from this tone monster? Tease me, tease me.
tulk1 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 A lot of noise? No wait, that would be if I were playing it. Hmmm, not sure.
Fernando Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I'll bet it will sound like gold and look like a million bucks.
Guest HRB853370 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 A lot of noise? No wait, that would be if I were playing it. Hmmm, not sure. No, if you were playing it, it would sound like a virtuoso playing a Stradivarius!
Spectrum13 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Sean Costello tones. Sparkle bass, more middle brighter top end.
Kuz Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Fatter thicker low ends on the neck.... more cut through grit & grind on the bridge.... Oh, and to make your wait a little longer......... I was rocking out on my TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DetroitBlues Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Great... Now you have my two favorite Heritages... Cherry 535 and Goldtop 150 P90... At least you can break out your inner Hubert Sumlin!
Guest HRB853370 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Sean Costello tones. Sparkle bass, more middle brighter top end. Would it be fair to say, "more bite"?
Gitfiddler Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Would it be fair to say, "more bite"? Definitely more bite...plus a little snarl as you add overdrive! You'll love em. Good score, young man.
DetroitBlues Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I would think so... Should be a little more brighter, which I would suspect sound a lot better for lead tones.

schundog Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Imagine the balls of a Tele; Now put the playing ease/comfort of a LP/150 body/neck scale, and imagine you've added some "umph" to the Tele's balls. That's what you can expect.
DetroitBlues Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I can offer free financing on them for you too, if you want them. Just let me know. LOL> LOL, you kill me! I must say my Guitar Center go to guitar is very close to this one... Gold Top 60's Tribute with P90's... I love playing that guitar. Really wanted one for a while too... That GT 150 is another dream guitar... Maybe one day...
Kuz Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 I could cuss you out John, but I won't!! Your're just mean! Why do you have Gibby style PG's on both of those? Don't like the Heritage PG? Nope, I can't stand the Heritage's 150 pick guards. The 535's and Archtop's pick guards are fine. Ah, I may go just play my 150 P-90 again right now...... No waiting just open the case and rock....... Am I being mean enough???!!! LOL
pegleg32 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Slammer, I also bought mine from Brent a year to two ago, and I still love it, although I haven't cracked it's case in awhile. Hearing about yours and John's makes me think I ought to go break that baby out for a little tickle.
zguitar71 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Go here: http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/topic/17261-the-reborn-champ-and-the-150gt/ There a couple of clips one with my 2010 H150 gt dirty and on e with it clean, both are straight into the amp with no effects so you can really hear the p-90 sound.
brentrocks Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 these are fralins....but it will be in the ballpark....
Kuz Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Nobody and I mean NOBODY had better tone than my HERO SEAN COSTELLO!!!! And yes, he used Lollar P-90s. And the hum didn't stop him at all!!!! Damn, I miss you Sean, RIP.
koula901 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 That guy is crazy good. Thanks for posting it, Randy.

I know Spectrum13 loves him. Had a chance to see him once and blew it off. Still regretting that decision today. You saying that 54 Gibby GT had Lollars in it? Why would he change out the original pups?
