Kuz Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 How did you become such a Sean fan? I kinda figured his biggest fan base was here in Atlanta where he was raised. I know Spectrum13 loves him. Had a chance to see him once and blew it off. Still regretting that decision today. You saying that 54 Gibby GT had Lollars in it? Why would he change out the original pups? I think I turned on most everyone here at HOC to Sean. Look at my signature and my 150 P-90 is named "Sean" and has been named that since 2006. I have been one of his biggest fans since a member of another forum clued me in. YES, I am saying that Jason Lollar personally told me that Sean Costello used Lollar Low-wind P-90s in his guitars. I don't know why he switched out the vintage P-90s, maybe they crapped out, lost their magnetism, or liked the better shielding & less hum from Lollars P-90s. OR Sean like the way the Lollars sounded better.

They look like an airplane wing to me. At least Heritage put some nice curves in theirs. But to each their own, right?
Kuz Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Sean was going to be the headliner at the Cincinnati Blues Festival in 2008 and I was going to try to catch him there. Unfortunately he passed away in early spring 2008.
Guest HRB853370 Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 a P90 LP makes a beautiful noise... He certainly has the facial expressions to go with it.

Too bad, bet it was memorable in more ways than one.
DetroitBlues Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 When do you get this fabled guitar of legend?
smurph1 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Definitely more bite...plus a little snarl as you add overdrive! You'll love em. Good score, young man. +1!!
