MartyGrass Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 I don't think there is any such thing as an overstock bin. They don't have much inventory generally.
DetroitBlues Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 I'm just messing with Brent... He seems to find really sweet, near mint Heritages that none of us found for sale anywhere else...
FredZepp Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Latest info on these pickups... He (Vince) knows of the guitar, as identified by the dot finger board inlays. The pups in it are neither HRWs nor SD '59s. They are indeed a "boutique" built pup, made by a local (Kalamazoo) builder and friend of Ren's. Vince says that's the only guitar made with them. But the feed back so far has been very positive and they may build a few more 150s with these pups.
koula901 Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 I'm guessing that they are working with SD to replace the Schaller base of the HRWs. I remember comments that Schallers were getting hard to obtain. Duncan probably has plenty of capacity, and they obviously know how to tune a pickup. What better place to start? A little confidentiality agreement and we're back to producing an RW pickup. Ahhhh, I get it. HRW=Heritage Ren Walls. Duh!
DavesNotHere Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Ahhhh, I get it. HRW=Heritage Ren Walls. Duh! Don't feel bad, I had to ask the first time I saw them referenced in a post.
DetroitBlues Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Don't feel bad, I had to ask the first time I saw them referenced in a post. And that's why they don't sell well on Ebay sometimes... Not many know what they are...
