New Grill Day. Yep, I got a new Weber One Touch Gold for Joe's House-O-Jam. We cooked a thick NY strip and some spicy Thai shrimp. Good times were had by all.

curses, now I am freakin' starving...and it's 2:30am here....lol

---->off to a 24hr diner that has some BBQ ribs on the menu :wacko_mini:

The backdrop is the 2008 H-137 I picked up at the Guitar Sphincter today.

I didn't have any of the large strap buttons so I used washers on it for now. Bolero style!

"Oh, yeah, by the way, I picked up the 137 today....." Sneak. Congratulations on both tasteful acquisitions, and, as mentioned, welcome to the Yellow Slab Club!

Gotta do what works! Awesome 137! Congrats on the Grill and the Guitar! If it wasn't for the need to put a guitar in the case, I think the washers are a brillant idea.

Ha! Congrats on both new Gs. They both look great and each can lead to great personal satisfaction.

btw - got all my parts, and my grills back from the melted mess it was to running operation. Only chicken last night, but ooooh it was good.

Funny, I was at the local Sphincter yesterday and there were no yellow slabs to be seen. There are, however, a couple of Porterhouses in the fridge aging and will probably go on the Weber later today. MMM MMM.

I wou;d think the pups are Lawler's. This guitar must have come from Wolfe as it had an Access case. Very nice case. The salesman at the GC was the previous owner and asked for dibs in case I sold it. I don't see that happening.

That's a beauty, Ron :) As a fellow Phat Cat connoisseur, could you give us a tone report with a comparison on the Lollar P-90s and the Phat Cats you have please?

The p-90s are not as loud as the phat cats. They loose power when you turn them down to 9 where the PCs just loose dirt. Overall the PCs are better pups because of this but I think I can live with it. I get the best tone when both pups are turned all the way up with both switched on at once.

And do they have similar tone?
