skydog52 Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Found these on a NAAM sight. Didn't know if I've seen them here before. http://www.namm.org/library/oral-history/marvin-lamb http://www.namm.org/library/oral-history/james-deurloo
Steiner Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 All new to me. 56 years ago, back in '56, Marv started there; eh? Nice post Skydog52!
FredZepp Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 They were posted before... but it's been quite a while and it's good to see them again. Priceless videos . Thanks...
TalismanRich Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Did any one notice that Marv alway calls it "Gibsons"?
rjsanders Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Did any one notice that Marv alway calls it "Gibsons"? that'd be very "suthren" of him (& more like "Gibson's"). it's like in Southern Iowa, too. if a biz uses a family name, then it's natural to refer to it as a possessive. good vids. i met them Jim D. & Bill Paige @ NAMM a couple yrs before that. great guys. look for the Gil Hembree book on Gibson McCarty years. lots of interviews, incl. Jim, Marv, & J.P.
Guest HRB853370 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Amazing! He has such a Southern drawl still and he does indeed refer to that company as Gibsons. Legendary stuff!
