Keith7940236 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Just arrived via UPS, my 2009 Prospect. It has '59 pickups, and a really cool truss rod cover. The set up is perfect and it plays like a dream. Here's some more pictures: http://s1048.photobucket.com/albums/s380/Keith7940236/ Now my Eagle TDC has some company. Thanks for all of the posts that I have read over the past few months and getting me acquainted with this great line of beautiful guitars.
schundog Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Congratulations! That looks VERY nice. I'd love to find a Prospect to try out. What type of music do you like to play, Keith?
Keith7940236 Posted May 3, 2012 Author Posted May 3, 2012 I started playing when I was 13 or 14, back when everyone wanted to be a folk musician. Now (many years later) I'm learning jazz. It's funny because I never had an urge to listen to or play that type of music. I decided to try to start playing again about 5 months ago and the teacher that I chose kind of turned me on to it. Now I can't get enough. I've obviously got a ways to go, but I'm loving every minute of the process.
High Flying Bird Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 That is nice. I quit playing for over 8 years and started back. The problem was that I wasn't any good then..... or now.
big bob Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Nice new addition , now, get thee to the Bigsby store..
Hfan Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 really nice find. I've been curious about prospects, smaller body size than the 535 I believe? Great finish as well.
Guest HRB853370 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Don't listen to Big Bob! Nice guitar. The Prospect reminds me of a 535-that went on Weight Watchers!
tulk1 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Jazz on a Prospect. Yeah, baby!! The Prospect is my favorite Heritage. I had one that is very similar to yours (Almond Burst). And I currently have a Prospect Custom order, with PhatCats. Congrats on picking up such a great looking - and playing - guitar.
Spectrum13 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 That looks like a sister to mine, also a 2009. The grain and color are real close so it must play a sound awesome. Enjoy!
koula901 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Welcome to the cult, and congrats on your beatiful new guit.!
DetroitBlues Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Wow, everyone's getting new Heritages and joining the forum. Excellant Guitar! Congrats and welcome to the forum!
kidsmoke Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 sweeeet. No pickguard, eh? cool TRC too. Welcome aboard!
heritagefan7 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Super Prospect. Congratulations---and as stated so smany times before---Welcome!
Keith7940236 Posted May 4, 2012 Author Posted May 4, 2012 Thanks for all of the posts, I appreciate them. I was really surprised at how much different it plays from my Eagle TDC. What I have found is that it has made me appreciate all the more the "Jazz" sound from the Eagle. The Prospect is so easy to play, I love everything about it!!!
DetroitBlues Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I would think the Prospect would give you some awesome blues/rock tones. Plug it in, turn it up, and let her sing!
