I find the 535 a great guitar to play unplugged, it's very resonant and much more comfortable than an acoustic, great for playing late at night in the house.
fxdx99 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Very nice!! Congrats on your new guitar. I love 535s - you've got your strings top wrapped. How do you like that? What pickups do you have in it?
big bob Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 looks good, welcome to the club, now play that thing...
Jeph Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 Yep, chestnut burst. Not sure about the top-wrap, I'll be experimenting the next couple days to get it just right. Kids are down, playtime!
GuitArtMan Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Beautius Maximus. That looks like a 535 special with the bound peg head and Sperzel vintage tuners. Does it also have Tone Pros Hardware, bone nut and Duncan Antiquites? Enjoy!
High Flying Bird Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Nice! You will like how much tone it gives out acoustically.
tulk1 Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 It's very Red. Congrats on getting your H-guitar finally. Looks like you got a good 'un.
pushover Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Velly Velly Nice... Congrats.. I'd like to hear a tone report, once you get to play it some..
Jeph Posted July 7, 2008 Author Posted July 7, 2008 I'm convinced this guitar is ALIVE! I'm truly blown away. I took it to a jam yesterday and it performed amazingly. The notes just seem to jump out, the controlled feedback was spot on, the playability left me wanting to go all day long. Clean to mean and everything in between, I had no idea just how versatile this guitar would be. I couldn't be happier. One thing did freak me out though: when the bassist hit some notes the entire guitar vibrated, making me think my forearm was getting shocked! We had a good laugh on that ;D

golferwave Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Chestnutburst is one of my favorite Heritage finishes. Very nice guitar. Enjoy!

We had a good laugh on that ;D Wow... that guitar of yours seems to be GLOWING! A beauty! Yep... that low-frequency resonance can be pretty trippy for sure... Nikolai Tesla once nearly brought a building down with it... the authorities made him turn off his super-high-technology resonance machine. I don't think you have to worry about your guitar exploding though...
