methenyfan53 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Been lurking on this forum for a while, just dreaming of the day I could afford a Heritage archtop guitar. Well, I was lucky to have been able to snag this one, very fine condition, really just like new, appears to not have been played much at all. I love the finish too, it says VSB on the tag visible through the F hole. I surmise that is Very Special Burst? Heh, probably not, but it sure is special to me. These P 90's have some sweet bottom to them and sound very natural. Also, this guitar is almost as loud as a flat top acoustic! Oh well, nice to meet everybody on here and I will try to not be a stranger!
FredZepp Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Vintage SunBurst !! A very sweet Heritage ... Welcome to the forum.
Gitfiddler Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Now that's how to make an entrance!! VintageSunBurst H525. Yea baby. And a Pat Metheny fan to boot! Welcome to the HOC...where many jealous folks are now lusting after your new 525 score!!

Keith7940236 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Welcom, but be careful, these can become addicting.
Genericmusic Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Welcome to the cult. Very nice instrument. What to sell it?

brentrocks Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 You certainly picked a humm-dinger for your first....WELCOME!!!! Beautiful H 525!!!!
GASguy Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Welcome to the HOC. A 525 is on the top of my lust list; that is a great grab for a first Heritage guitar, a true beauty.
H Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Welcome to the HOC from one of the foreign contingent That's a fine Heritage you have. Can you stop at one?
golferwave Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 A really beautiful 525 for sure! You know it really is a "Very Special Burst" When you have a company of craftsmen and all of the finishes are hand applied, each one is a little different, so they're all "Special" - Welcome to the club!
kbp810 Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Welcome to the HOC! And you started off right by posting pics of your amazing VSB 525 right off the bat, well done!
Kuz Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Don't listen to these guys about Heritage guitars being addictive.... I have been able to easily stop at 10.
chico Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 welcome, nice guitar and I look forward to your contributions here.
golferwave Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Don't listen to these guys about Heritage guitars being addictive.... I have been able to easily stop at 10. Sure.. But the 10 keep changing!
DavesNotHere Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 That is beautiful!. Welcome aboard. I've only played 2 525s and I've loved them both. My custom Heritage will most likely be a 525. I'm in the VSB club too.
High Flying Bird Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 I saw the "meth.." in your handle and thought you were from Sand Mountain, AL. Sorry. By chance Metheny was the first act on Pandora tonight. That is a looker. I like the 525s a lot. I got to see the Guitfiddler's in the paint room at PSP3. Dude, you know about PSP5 don't you?
Dandownunder Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 That's one very sweet guitar Mate.... and no guitars are not addictive at all...
