Gitfiddler Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Gitfiddler's my handle. I've been a big fan of Heritage for many, many years now. It is about time a forum dedicated to this fine guitar maker was launched. I'll attempt to post my three Heritages (all purchased on the used market, but I traced their origins to Wolfe's Guitars) ('93 Golden Eagle, Old Sunburst----'96 Sweet Sixteen, Chestnut Burst----'95 H575 Custom, Antique Natural Quilt) http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/7879/heritagegoldeneaglezr9.jpg[/img] http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/1294/heritagesweet161hn9.jpg[/img] http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/967/heritageh575customadcopy5ct.jpg[/img]
Dick Seacup Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Good G-d, they're all beautiful! Does that Golden Eagle have a floating pickup? I like the contrast between the pickguard (it almost looks like big birdseye) and the top on the 575. All of these pictures of the jazzboxes have me reconsidering my quest for an H150!

Dick Seacup Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 get both of them ;D. I was just attempting to gently inform my wife that while I'm in 'sell-off mode' I'm also in 'acquisition mode.' ;D Based on the running commentary, I don't think she'd be thrilled with *two* new ones entering the fold. At the beginning of the year I promised her no new guitars. I think I've already bought two. :

Yes, the Golden Eagle has a custom wound floating Kent Armstrong PAF with 12 adjustable pole/screws. The pickguard is quilt maple that matches the back and sides. It sounds like it was tap tuned also. Very LOUD guitar acoustically. The Sweet 16 also has a custom wound Armstrong PAF, but mounted in the top. H575 just plane sounds great with the stock Heritage/Schaler p'up. I have a Gibson Classic 57 for it, but never installed since it already sounds great as is. (Jay told me it would!) Nice to meet you other Heritage guys.
ashaffer Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 I have that same Kent Armstrong on my Golden Eagle too. I hope you like it as much as I do ;D -Al
Thundersteel Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 Schweeeeeeeeeeeeeet guitars! Talk about eye candy!
