COI Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Hello all, Some years ago I found on the web a description that included my H150 special model. It described it's (thinner) body with dimensions and such. Does anybody have a copy of this valuable information? I am trying to get a description for mine which is up for sale at Elderly instruments but they have it listed as an H-140 instead. I will need these dimensions to convice them otherwise. Thanks, DL

mars_hall Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 The description used to be posted on the old Heritage site, if I am not mistaken

kidsmoke Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Hey DL, nice guitar! Tell us more...did you do the Bigsby mod, or buy it that way? I would think that the label in the cavity would answer any issues about model designation. Have they pulled the cover and taken a look, or just making an assumption based on the dots and the thickness?
kidsmoke Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 ok then....... I'll keep this going a bit.... For those of you with first hand experience retrofitting a 150 style guitar with a Bigsby....I know there are some styles which incorporate the existing stoptail threads, with no additional mods necessary. Can you tell by looking if this is just such and animal?
kidsmoke Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 yep...you beat me to the punch...just sitting here staring at that pic and realized the visible hole with threads for the original stop tail, as well as the additional screw top on the treble side between the stop tail and bridge.... too bad. i was gettin' an itchy trigger finger....

Have they pulled the cover and taken a look, or just making an assumption based on the dots and the thickness? Kidsmoke, label inside back cover says H-150 Black? I will send photo by email. The Bigsby was installedby Elderly for me. They did not use existing holes but unfortunately drilled new ones. It is the higher quality Bigsby and not the import model. Thanks for looking. DL.
